Surprising Turkey

 Although we only had two port stops in Turkey, they were among the best stops of the entire cruise. Windstar sponsored a fantastic candlelight dinner among the ancient Roman ruins of Ephesus near the port of Kusadasi, Turkey.   The other stop was Bodrum, which is considered to be the Turkish Riviera. This was a two day stop where on the evening of day one, Bob had a belly dancing lesson on the ship..

A Perfect Day in CocoCay - Spring Break-2025

 Spring Break, April 2025 provided Carolyn and I with the opportunity to spent two wonderful weeks with my son, Kevin and his family form Seattle.  Most of first week was on a Royal Caribbean cruise with stops in CocoCay and Freeport, Bahamas.  The second week we stayed at the Holiday Inn Orange Lake Vacation time share resort that borders Disney's Wild Kingdom Park in Kissimmee, FL. This week included day trips to Sea World, Discovery Cove, Epcot and Universal Studios theme parks.

Cruising the Panama Canal

From January 4th to January 20th in 2025, we were on the first leg of the Island Princess cruise around the world.  It took us from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Los Angles, California with stops in five different countries.  Along the way, we met many interesting people, each with a unique story.  Here is a link to this 16-day travel adventure.
